The Salvation Army in Saskatoon officially launched its Christmas Kettle Campaign today (Friday). The money from the kettles is used to help Saskatoon’s most vulnerable population.

As the Lighthouse Supported Living in Saskatoon ceases to operate as a shelter, the first phase of the transition of emergency shelter spaces from the Lighthouse occurred in October.
Thirty of the 61 spaces are being transitioned to Salvation Army with the remaining 31 going to the Saskatoon Tribal Council Emergency Wellness Centre.
Registration to receive a Christmas Hamper as part of the Christmas Assistance program closes on December 1st.
