A survey from Finder, a personal finance comparison website, www.finder.com, indicates nearly 70 per cent of parents believe children should be paid to complete their chores.
Of the more than 1,100 Canadian parents surveyed, 48 per cent agreed that kids should be paid to complete chores and another 21 per cent suggested kids should be paid for chores along with getting an allowance.
Forty-six per cent of the parents surveyed said the that paying your kids to do their chores helped them develop a sense of responsibility, while 45 per cent said it teaches the value of hard work.
