A 35-year-old man is facing charges after police found firearms inside a home on the 200 block of Barr Place in the Fairhaven neighbourhood on Saturday.

Police went to a home to find the man around 6pm. Officers believed there were firearms in the residence. They convinced the man to leave the house without incident.

The man was unlawfully at large. Inside the home, police found a handgun, ammunition, a ballistic vest and seven grams of methamphetamine.
