Around 8 o’clock Sunday night, Saskatoon Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Avenue T South and found a man injured. He told officers that there had been an altercation and he had been stabbed. Police were told there were several people involved who all knew each other. It’s alleged a 34 year old man threw a lawn mower at a man and woman in their fifties, and it hit the woman, who suffered a minor injury. Then, the younger man stabbed the 52 year old, who is being treated for non life threatening injury.

The 34 year old was taken into custody. Police say while he was inside the phone room at the Detention Unit, officers witnessed him damage the phone, making it inoperable. His charges are aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and mischief.
