A 22-year-old Prince Albert man faces 17 charges after being arrested in the early morning hours of Saturday following an armed robbery at a Saskatoon residence.

At about 3:30 a.m. on November 26, Saskatoon Police Service officers were called to a parking lot in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West where they found a 36-year-old man who appeared to be injured and said he had been robbed at gunpoint at his home on nearby Howell Avenue. The victim said he had met another man through a dating app and invited that person to his home. The suspect was armed and threatened to harm the victim. The two scuffled, during which the gun went off. The suspect fled with the victim’s vehicle, bank card, phone and the contents of the victim’s gun safe. The S-P-S Air Support Unit was called in to help with finding the stolen vehicle. Between the Air Support Unit and ground units, police were able to locate the suspect trying to hide on Grey Place. He was found to be in possession of M-D-M-A in addition to the stolen items when he was taken into custody.
