A collision near Rose Valley on Sunday evening has claimed the life of a 78-year-old woman from Sylvannia.

The woman was a passenger in a pickup truck that collided with a farm tractor hauling a trailer around 8pm. A child passenger in the truck was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious. The male driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor was not injured.

Highway 35 about six kilometres north of Rose Valley was closed for several hours—but has since reopened. The RCMP investigation continues.

Meantime, a single vehicle crash near Regina killed a man in the early morning hours of Friday, November 25th. RCMP says the vehicle hit a pole at the Intersection of Highway #6 and Industrial Drive. A 37-year-old man from the Piapot First Nation died.
