With the onset of frigid weather comes tips about how to stay safe.
Saskatchewan Health Authority says frostbite is when your skin tissue freezes & dies.
The SHA says if you see signs of frostbite, get out the cold immediately. Do not rub the area.
Rewarming can be done by soaking the affected area in warm (NOT hot) water for 15-30 min.
The Saskatoon Extreme Cold Weather Emergency Response has also been activated.
