The Saskatchewan R-C-M-P’s Warrant and Enforcement Team (WEST) recently completed a successful investigation by arresting a man who was wanted on 25 outstanding charges.

Saskatchewan R-C-M-P WEST launched the investigation back in the summer, looking to locate and apprehend 42-year-old Kurt Miller of Brownlee, Saskatchewan. He was wanted on warrants for his involvement in an incident back in May 2020, near Biggar. Miller failed to appear at his final court proceedings from that incident in which he and other suspects are alleged to have fired shots at an R-C-M-P Emergency Response Team, injuring an officer in the process.

Miller was arrested in Edmonton on November 3rd as a passenger in a vehicle with a male driver and a female passenger that police say also had a suitcase and duffle bag containing drug preparation equipment and about 10.6 kilograms of suspected fentanyl (pictured). Miller has been transported back to Saskatchewan and will appear in court in Saskatoon on Friday at 11 a.m. to face the warrants in relation to the 2020 incident near Biggar.
