Saskatoon Police say a woman reported being assaulted in the city’s Varsity View neighbourhood this morning (tues).

A 32 year old woman says she was walking northbound on Munroe Avenue near Colony Street around 6:50 a.m. when an unknown male approached her.

He reportedly exited a grey car , threatened her with what appeared to be a handgun, hit her with the weapon and then fled in the vehicle.

The woman believed the car may have been driven by an unknown femlae.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous male, 5’8″ with a thin build wearing a white hoodie and grey pants.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at the scene.
