Of 458 calls for service that the Battleford R-C-M-P detachment took between November 30-December 6, 10 were for mischief investigations.

The most notable of the mischief incidents was an afternoon call on December 2 to the 1000 block of 107th Street in North Battleford for a report of a man swinging an axe. Forty-one-year-old Leon Jimmy was taken into custody and is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief, resisting arrest, breach of probation and failing to comply with a release order. He also faces an additional charge of assaulting a police officer stemming from an incident on December 3 in the North Battleford R-C-M-P cells. Leon Jimmy appeared in court on December 5.

Otherwise, four missing persons were reported in the past week with Branden Baptiste still in the missing category, there were 24 assault investigations, five break and enter investigations, seven vehicle thefts, 18 mental health investigations, 17 traffic collisions, two individuals charged with impaired driving, 47 various traffic charges, 89 disturbance calls and eight other reported thefts.
