Carnduff RCMP have charged a 67 year old man from Alameda with two counts of the attempted murder of a police officer and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
On Wednesday afternoon, Carnduff RCMP were alerted about man breaching conditions of his probation in Alameda. Officers responded to a home in that community and say the man opened the door. When he was told he was under arrest, police say he went into the house and retrieved a firearm. It has been reported that there was an altercation which included the discharge of a firearm by the responding police officers. No one was injured and the man was arrested without incident.
Theodore Allan Brycks appeared in Regina Provincial Court today (Fri). RCMP say because the matter is before the courts, no other details will be shared at this time.
