Saskatoon Police attended a domestic dispute at a hotel in the 200 block of Marquis Drive shortly after midnight this morning, which resulted in an officer deploying a conducted energy weapon. Police report that initially, they were able to de-escalate the situation, but when removing the 32 year old man from the premises, it’s alleged he became combative and there was a physical altercation. The man refused to comply, so the CEW was used.

He was taken into custody, cleared by EMS and then taken to police detention. As is policy, the incident will be reviewed by the Police Service.
