RCMP have released the name of the person killed in a collision early Friday afternoon about 10 kilometres north of Lloydminster.

A northbound pickup and a southbound SUV collided. The driver of the SUV—a 20-year-old woman from Tulliby Lake, Alberta—died at the scene. The man driving the pickup truck was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Highway 17 was closed for nine hours last Friday.
