Prairie conservation is the topic of one of the events at the United Nations’ COP15 in the Canadian Pavilion on Thursday afternoon with Saskatchewan representatives on the panel. The pavilion is hosted by Environment and Climate Change Canada. On the panel, are representative from Meewasin Valley Authority, the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, Metis Nation-Saskatchewan, Wanuskewin, and Parks Canada.

The event highlights the Meewasin Model and will explore how it is effective in meeting the environmental goals and targets of all levels of government. The mandate of the Canadian pavilion is to showcase the breadth and diversity of Canada’s biodiversity efforts.
