A court appearance was made by a Lloydminster man, charged in connection to a death and alleged assault in Margo, and another alleged assault in Tisdale during the Christmas weekend.

In Melfort Provincial Court Tuesday, 56-year-old Brian McLeod was remanded in custody for his next scheduled appearance next Tuesday (Jan. 3).

On December 24th at 11:20 p.m. Wadena RCMP responded to a report of an assault in Margo, where officers located a woman and infant, who were both injured and transported to hospital, as well as a deceased woman in an adjacent home, identified as 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe. Police noted the suspect was known to all three victims, adding the suspect was in a relationship with Littlewolfe.

Then at 1:10 a.m., RCMP received a report of an assault at a rural residence near Tisdale, where their investigation determined the suspect asked for help with a stuck vehicle, then allegedly assaulted a man, who was able to hold onto the suspect until police arrived.
