The City of Saskatoon says its crews have completed snow grading on Priority 1 streets like Circle Drive. Priority 2 and 3 streets which are streets that include Transit routes, are expected to be completed this weekend. Local street snow grading begins immediately afterward.

Local street snow grading is expected to take up to six days to complete from when it starts. When it begins, snow will be piled along the street and in medians, boulevards and parking lanes. It will be removed, but city officials say it will take some time and their immediate goal is to make local streets accessible for light vehicles.

The City asks that residents do not push or blow snow onto the street because it creates a bigger risk for vehicles getting stuck – put the snow onto your property.

The City says some services, like waste and recycling collection, have been impacted in some neighbourhoods. Collections will be rescheduled once the streets are accessible.

Transit service continues as scheduled with no major delays.
