A question about a clogged bathtub drain topped the list of inappropriate calls made to 9-1-1 in Saskatchewan last year.

The RCMP compiles a top ten list as a reminder to residents that 9-1-1 is only for life-threatening situations or police-related matters. While these top ten calls appear to be humorous, they do take up valuable time and resources.

RCMP 911 call-takers and dispatchers answered 352,854 calls for service in 2022. While many were relevant, some were misdials and false alarms.
