The North Battleford Crime Reduction Team searched a home on Sweetgrass First Nation on Thursday, believing two men with warrants from Correctional Service Canada for being unlawfully at large may be there. Officers from the Battlefords RCMP detachment, the Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team, Critical Incident Response Tea, Police Dog Service and Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan also attended.

Twenty-one- year-old Adam Semaganis from Poundmaker First Nation surrendered and was arrested without incident. Three women were arrested on outstanding warrants from Battlefords RCMP, the Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Nakota Pooyak of Sweetgrass First Nation remains at large, although police say, he was in that area recently. He is also known to travel to the Battlefords area. Pooyak is described as 5’10” and 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes and he has a scar by his left eye. If you see him, contact the police.
