Saskatchewan RCMP are reporting an increase of unregistered snowmobiles this winter. Fifty per cent of the snowmobiles stopped around the Prince Albert, Duck Lake, and Rosthern areas on December 30th were unregistered. Each snowmobile driver was issued a 175-dollar ticket.
The RCMP reminds riders that snowmobiles can be registered at any Saskatchewan motor license issuer, and it costs much less than receiving a ticket. This has been Snowmobile Safety week in Saskatchewan and officers are asking snowmobilers to keep safety in mind while enjoying one of Canada’s most popular winter activities.
