Meadow Lake RCMP are looking for tips from the public to help find a suspect or vehicle after a report of a potential attempted abduction. Just after midnight Saturday morning a person driving south on Highway 4, about 40 kilometres south of Meadow Lake noticed a man lying on the road next to his truck and stopped to help. When approaching, police were told the victim was grabbed by the arm and the man mentioned having a weapon while reaching into his pocket. The motorist got away and took off.
The man is described as 50 yeara old, Caucasian, with a black beard and mullet, wearing a red plaid shirt over a green shirt and wearing a black hat. He was driving an older model blue Ford pickup truck with rust on the rear bumper. Officers have been extensively patrolling the area, but he hasn’t been found.
