If you are travelling in the northern grainbelt today, there are freezing rain warnings from Environment Canada. Meteorologist Chris Stammers says today (Sun) and tomorrow, there will be a few centimetres of snow across most of the province, and there may be snow squalls. Stammers describes a squall as a burst of heavier flurries, which can reduce visibilities in the areas where they hit.

Next week is expected to get progressively colder, compared to the last few weeks, and potentially colder than normal temperatures by the weekend. In the Saskatoon area, the normal for this time of year would be highs of -10 and lows around -19, but Stammers says the temperatures next weekend could dip to lows in the minus twenties.
