BHP’s Operational Review for the last six months of 2022 indicates that the international mining giant’s potash project in Saskatchewan is tracking to plan.
The report states that capital expenditure for the Jansen Project to date is just over $5.7-billion.
CEO Mike Henry says the mine is about 16 per cent complete.
BHP will continue to focus on civil and mechanical construction on the surface and underground at the site, as well as equipment procurement and port construction.
The Jansen mine is about 140 kilometres East of Saskatoon.
