A suspcious death investigation is now considered Saskatoon’s first homicide of 2023.

Major Crime Investigators with the Saskatoon Police Service have charged a 44 year old man taken into custody at the scene with second degree murder.

Officers responded to a call at 7:20 a.m. Monday to a report of a death.

When police arrived at the home in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive North yesterday morning they located a 35 year old man who was deceased.

There were two other men in the home at the time, aged 28 and 44 who were taken into custody.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
