Three, one-time grants totalling $44-million will be made available to Saskatchewan early learning and child care centres and homes.
The Saskatchewan government says more information on the new grants, including eligibility and application forms, will be distributed in the coming days.
Breaking it down, $15-million will help to offset costs absorbed from inflation, $27-million for maintenance and repairs of centres, and $2-million to purchase equipment and materials to encourage winter play.
The funding comes from the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.
