Parkland Ambulance reports there was a fatal snowmobile accident early yesterday (Sun) morning in the Candle Lake area. A release from Parkland says emergency crews responded just after 2:30 in the morning and one person was declared dead at the scene. There were no other injuries, and those are all the details we have at this point.

Parkland paramedics also responded to two accidents involving wildlife over the weekend. Early Saturday morning around 2:30, paramedics responded east of Prince Albert on Highway 55 where a 34 year old Martensville man had been injured during a vehicle-wildlife collision. He was taken to hospital in stable condition. Then, around 11:30 that night, there was another wildlife-related collision, this time on Highway 2, north of Anglin Lake, where a 25 year old woman was injured, and also taken to hospital in stable condition. Parkland Ambulance says up to 9 Sunday morning, paramedics had responded to 104 incidents.
