The Saskatoon Police Service reports that officers have responded to a number of collisions overnight and this morning following the freezing rain. Drivers are asked to slow down, allow more space between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you and allow more time to reach where you need to go.
In response to the icy conditions from the freezing rain overnight, the City of Saskatoon says crews have been applying salt and sand on high traffic streets, bridge decks and intersections, however other streets, sidewalks and parking lots may be quite slippery, so be cautious. City sanders were out all night and there were 18 units applying salt and sand this morning (Mon).
