A Memorandum of Understanding between the provincial government through the Saskatchewan Research Council and Star Group Industrial Company has been signed for cooperation in further developing the rare earth element (REE) supply chain.
The signing ceremony was held at Star Group’s magnet manufacturing plant in South Korea, during Minister Responsible for SRC, Jeremy Harrison’s mission to southeast Asia. The MOU includes technology sharing and development and/or commercial product sale.
SRC is constructing North America’s first fully integrated, commercial demonstration Rare Earth Processing Facility in Saskatoon, which is expected to be fully operational next year.
