An active and ongoing RCMP investigation continues following the death of a man at a rural residence about 20 kilometres south of Stockholm, or approximately one hour south of Yorkton.

RCMP were called the residence around 4am Friday. There they found the body of a man who lived in the home. An injured woman was also transported to hospital. An investigation determined three men had been there earlier—taking at least one gun and the homeowner’s vehicle. The abandoned vehicle was found burning on a nearby grid road.

RCMP say descriptions of the suspects are not available. Officers are asking for any video surveillance footage from the region that may assist with the investigation. There will also be a continued police presence in the area south of Stockholm and Esterhazy through the next day.
