SaskTel is reporting a spate of vandalism impacting its services in Saskatoon. The crown owned utility is reporting at least three instances of vandalism over the last three days, that has knocked out service to customers. There is a concern that these outages may have impacted customers in getting help in an emergency situation.
The incidents have been reported to the Saskatoon Police. SaskTel urges anyone who sees something suspicious near its sites, to report it to the police.
The incidents:
1.February 8th – 2900 and 3000 block of Arlington Avenue from 9:00 pm to 3:30 am (February 9th) – impacting approximately 800 customers.
2. February 9th – 200 block of Whiteswan Drive from 1:30 pm to 5:45 am (February 10th) – impacting approximately 300 customers.
3. February 10th – 400 block of Bowman Crescent (ongoing as of noon Friday) – impacting approximately 190 customers.
