The Canadian Armed Forces confirmed Sunday that “a high-altitude object was detected and taken down by NORAD aircrafts over Lake Huron, Michigan.”
This was the second unidentified object shot down this past weekend. The Prime Minister issued a statement saying NORAD confirmed that an unidentified object had unlawfully entered Canadian air space and it was shot down over the Yukon Saturday.
“It represented a reasonable to civilian aircraft so I gave the order to take it down. Canadian and American fighter jets were scrambled and an American F-22 successfully shot down the object.”
Recovery teams were on the ground Sunday to find what remained of the object shot down over the Yukon.
There have been four high-altitude objects shot down in North America in just over a week.
