Nutrien Winter Shines began in Saskatoon last Saturday, kicking off the Family Day Long Weekend, but a notice on its website says that because of the extreme cold, the Friendship Park activities are closed until further notice. Winter Shines is scheduled to continue through this coming Saturday, so keep an eye out on the website for any changes. One activity that won’t be affected for sure, because it is indoors, is the YXE Chef’s Soup Cook-off at TCU Place between 5 and 7:30 p.m.
