The highest bid to date, far higher than any other liquor permit winning bid is $3,270,000 for a permit in La Ronge, which was one of the six permits up for grabs.
The second highest bid to date was also Thursday, at $1,666,600 for a Saskatoon liquor permit. Also in Thursday’s auction, a Regina permit went for $1,500,200 and a Humboldt permit was auctioned off for $700,000. Bids were still coming in late afternoon for two other permits in Weyburn and North Battleford.
Friday is the final auction day for the 35 liquor permits. In this final round, are permits for Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Fort Qu’Appelle, Creighton and La Loche.
