The Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canadian Women’s Curling Championship, continues today and runs through Sunday in Kamloops, B-C. The 18-team field of provincial and territorial champions plus defending champion Kerry Einarson and three wild-card teams has been reduced for tie-breaker and playoff action. The 2023 Canada Winter Games continue competition today and run through Sunday, March 5th in Prince Edward Island. The Games feature 20 sports and about 3,600 athletes from all 13 of Canada’s provinces and territories. Saskatchewan has 317 participants, including 217 athletes, from 60 different communities in the province. Saskatchewan has five silver medals and four bronze after six days of action. First half sports, continuing today through tomorrow, are biathlon, women’s curling, freestyle skiing, artistic gymnastics, trampoline, men’s hockey, karate, ringette, long track speed-skating, short track speed-skating, squash table tennis and wheelchair basketball.

The 2023 Saskatchewan Winter Games continue today and run through tomorrow in Regina and area with over 1,700 participants and over 1,000 volunteers taking part from across the province. Second half sports competition, continues today through tomorrow, and include cross country and Para Nordic skiing, figure skating, women’s and men’s futsal, judo, wrestling and target shooting.
