The viral load of SARS CoV-2 viral RNA in wastewater increased in all three communities monitored by University of Saskatchewan researchers.

SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA load in Saskatoon’s wastewater has increased by 42.8 per cent but is still considered at medium when comparing the averages of three different individual daily measurements to the previous weeks.

Viral RNA load in Prince Albert’s wastewater has increased by 64.1 per cent and is now considered high.

In North Battleford the viral RNA in wastewater has decreased by 26.6 per cent in the latest reporting period when compared to the weekly average of the previous week. The amount of COVID-19 is considered medium for North Battleford.

All COVID-19 present is a subvariant of Omicron.
