The 2023 Canada Winter Games continue competition today and run through Sunday in Prince Edward Island. The Games feature 20 sports and about 3,600 athletes from all 13 of Canada’s provinces and territories. Saskatchewan has 317 participants, including 217 athletes, from 60 different communities in the province. Saskatchewan has 17 total medals…three gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals after 11 days of action. Second half sports continue today and are alpine and para alpine skiing, archery, badminton, boxing, cross country and para Nordic skiing, men’s and mixed doubles curling, fencing, figure skating, women’s hockey, judo and snowboarding.

The World Junior Curling Championships continue today and run through Saturday in Fussen, Germany. Canada’s junior women’s team is skipped by Emily Deschenes of Halifax.
