A woman called Saskatoon Police Service around 1 a.m. on Sunday morning to report that a driver had been following her in her vehicle for a half hour.
She was instructed to drive to the Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters, which she did, and the suspicious vehicle parked right behind her.
Patrol officers attempted a high-risk traffic stop of what turned out to be a stolen 2014 blue Dodge Ram, however, the driver sped off.
A tire deflation device was deployed at the intersection of Simonds Avenue and Cassino Avenue in the city’s Montgomery Place neighbourhood and a suspect was taken into custody.
