There were no fatal collisions during the weekend blizzard over much of southern Saskatchewan.

RCMP officers responded to 139 weather-related calls for service from Friday through Sunday, ranging from collisions to vehicles stuck in snowbanks.

About one-third—or 49— of the calls came from Regina and area, including Moose Jaw, Lumsden, Indian Head and Weyburn detachments.

The RCMP is reminding motorists not to pack up their winter driving skills too early and to maintain fully stocked emergency supplies in the vehicle.
