The Angus Reid Institute’s latest polling on Canada’s premiers shows Saskatchewan’s Premier approval has returned to levels Scott Moe consistently enjoyed throughout his first term. Three-in-five in Saskatchewan approve of Moe.

The independent pollster says that although Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party government have taken an adversarial approach to the federal government, cooperation between provincial and federal governments has “brought significant gains to the province in recent months” and points to the extra funding for health care and childcare.

Angus Reid Institue also points out that the Conference Board of Canada predicts Saskatchewan will lead the country in GDP growth in 2023 as the province also enjoys the second lowest unemployment in the country. Newfoundland and Labrador’s Premier Andrew Furey was the only premier, at 62 per cent, who had a higher approval rating than Moe. PEI’s Premier Dennis King is just back of Moe with the third highest ranking in the country at 58 per cent.
