The provincial and federal governments have announced funding for the development of six new Early Years Family Resource Centres in Saskatoon, Kindersley, Tisdale, Warman/Martensville, Regina and Ile-a-la-Crosse. About $1.3-million in startup funding will be allocated to this project through the Canada-Saskatchewan Bilateral Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.
These resource centres provide free programming in one location for families with children up to six years old. They provide families with support in the development of their children through programming, and services, along with parent education and literacy programming.
