Saskatoon Police say one man has been arrested after a stabbing in the city’s Nutana neighbourhood on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of an injured person around 4:30 p.m. at Saskatchewan Crescent East and 13th Street East.

When officers arrived, they learned there had been an altercation between two people that resulted in a 36-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds. A witness had kept track of the suspect and pointed that person out to police.

The Saskatoon Police Service says they arrested a 27-year-old man who is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.

The victim was taken to hospital and the extent to which the two knew each other is unknown.
