The Sask Liberal Party will be discussing and putting forward several significant motions at their 2023 Annual General Meeting on Saturday, including a complete rebranding of the party.
Party Leader Jeff Walters says the Sask Liberals are one of the oldest provincial parties and are also the only provincial party that has not undergone a name change.
He adds that the goal of the party is the greatest good for the greatest number of people, but it is difficult to fulfill that moto when the party is not deemed viable for election. This is where the idea for a rebrand comes into play.
If the motion is approved on March 25th (saturday) a name search lasting two to three weeks will accept submissions from the public on a new name that better represents the party.
The name search will kick off another leadership race to determine who the face of the new brand will be. The AGM is being held at Christ Church Anglican, 515 28th Street West in Saskatoon.
