Regina and Saskatoon are the second and third most affordable cities in Canada for first-time homeowners.
That’s according to digital real estate hub Edmonton Homes, which ranked the 25 largest cities in the country, looking at the average annual income compared to house prices, property taxes and electricity bills.
St. John’s tops the list, with Regina second and Saskatoon third.
In tenth spot is London, Ontario.

Methodology to reveal the most affordable city for first-time homeowners:
Average annual income compared to house prices was graded on a 50-point scale, with 50 being the most affordable rate – property tax and electricity bills were graded on a 10-point scale with 10 being the most affordable.
