Melville RCMP say a 30 year old man is facing possession of fentanyl and meth for the purpose of trafficking after checking on a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 10 east of Melville on Tuesday morning just after 9. Officers say a man was found unconscious in the driver’s seat. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and during a search, it’s alleged he had about a gram of fentanyl on him.
Then a search warrant was obtained to investigate the vehicle and RCMP report that about 0.5 ounces of fentanyl, an ounce of meth and evidence consistent with drug trafficking including scales and baggies were seized. Lyle Pasiechnik is scheduled to appear in Melville Provincial Court on April 17th.
