CAA’s Worst Roads Campaign has kicked off for 2023 season.  At the end of the campaign, reports of roads voted on are distributed to government and business leaders in hopes of sparking conversation and action.

The CAA Worst Roads site includes a Google Map Locater that will show what roads in the province are getting the votes by pinpointing the current locations of the nominated roads.  The Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association says it also supports CAA Worst Roads Campaign because the attention it draws to some of the roads in Saskatchewan is really important.

CAA will also provide a weekly update on the current top ten worst roads.

CAA says potholes and crumbling pavement have been the most prominent safety issues identified during their Worst Roads Campaigns, however, cracks, general disrepair, poor signage, congestion, and unsafe infrastructure have also been identified by road users.

CAA points out Saskatchewan is a land-locked province and has over 250,000 km of roads, more than any other province. You can cast your vote until April 25.

Saskatoon’s Circle Drive made CAA’s 2022 Top Ten Worst Road list by coming in at number six. The worst road in the province, as voted for by Saskatchewan residents, is Mayfair Crescent in Regina. Regina had three mentions in the list, Moose Jaw two while Highway 47 at Springside made it to the list again this year as did Highway 155 at La Loche. Also in the top five was Highway 5 at Buchanan, Saskatchewan.
