Prince Albert RCMP say they were alerted to an accident involving a pedestrian outside of a business on Highway #2 around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

The injured male was pronounced deceased at the scene and RCMP say while he has been identified as a 34-year-old man from Paddockwood, no other information is being released.

The vehicle believed involved was found several hours later around 11 p.m. in Little Red River. The individual believed to be the driver was later located and taken into custody. Charges are pending but have not been laid as yet.
