Prince Albert Police want to remind motorists that wildlife like deer are most active in the early morning and around dusk each day.

The reminder comes after police got a call this past Monday at 6:45 a.m. from a member of the public regarding a young deer that couldn’t walk because its legs were too badly injured. Thiswas just past the area of 15th Street East and 15th Avenue East within Prince Albert city limits.

Officers shot the deer in distress to euthanize it out of concern for its welfare.
