It is an Easter weekend tradition, and this year is the 61st Draggins Rod and Custom Car Show in Saskatoon.  Steve Grove, manager at Camp Easter Seal, says they are the recipient of the profits from the show. Last year they saw $40,000 from the Draggins show.

Proceeds this year he says will be used on a couple of their cabins.  They got the property in 1956 and some of the buildings were built in the early 30’s.  Grove says there is upkeep and some of the cabins are being refurbished putting in new windows and finishing the exterior.

There will be 600 to 650 kids who will go through the camp this summer as well as 60 staff. Camp Easter Seal has been Saskatchewan’s only fully accessible and barrier free camp for those in the province experiencing special needs.

As for the show there are up to 200 cars onsite, hot wheels for the kids, Battle of the Mechanics, door prizes, and Star Wars characters on site to name a few of the attractions lined up for show-goers.  The Easter tradition started in 1961 and is on till 9 p.m. Saturday.
