As promised, the Saskatoon Police Service is providing an update on the situation which transpired in the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road on Saturday morning.
Officers were called out at 6 a.m. to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon. They were told a 24-year-old man was threatening people inside with a shotgun. Police say A 22-year-old woman had been assaulted and managed to flee the home.
The Tactical Support Unit was called in and set up a perimeter in Saskatoon’s Fairhaven neighbourhood and around 9:15 a.m. the 24-year-old suspect exited the residence. He was arrested without further incident.
The suspect faces charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault, Uttering Threats to Cause Death, Careless Use of a Firearm, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. A search of the residence recovered a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition.
