The Prime Minister touched down in Regina today (Thurs) to highlight some of the federal government’s affordability measures, including the dental care plan for lower-income Canadians. Justin Trudeau says, “Our dental plan will provide dental coverage for uninsured Canadians with family incomes under $90,000 a year, and if your family makes under $70,000 a year, costs will be fully covered.”
He also spoke about the grocery rebate, which would see a one-time payment of up to an extra $467 for eligible couples with two children; up to an extra $234 for single Canadians without children; and an extra $225 for seniors. Trudeau also noted that the “spring climate action incentive payment”, also known as the carbon tax rebate, comes out tomorrow (Fri). He says a family of four will get a payment of $340, and in total over the year, will get $1300 back while fighting climate change.
There was no meeting scheduled between the Prime Minister and Premier Scott Moe because, Trudeau says, Moe wasn’t in town. (CKRM)
