After an intense seven-month selection process, two graduates from the University of Saskatchewan have been chosen to receive prestigious McCall MacBain scholarships from McGill University.
Julia Morelli will graduate from USask with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political studies, and Minh Au will graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree. Each student will pursue a fully funded master’s degree worth $100,000 at McGill, while also receiving mentorship, coaching, and a leadership development program. The scholars were chosen not only based on academic strength, but also based on character, community engagement, leadership potential, and intellectual curiosity. This is only the second time a USask graduate has revived the high-honour scholarship. Last year, Nikaela Lang earned the award as well. This is also the first year that two recipients from USask will receive the honour.
